WK Construction South Africa, based in Pinetown, has the following career path and growth opportunities. The Company specialises in General Civil Engineering work (pipelines and services), Concrete Structures (Reservoirs, Treatment Plants and Pump stations) and township development and maintenance services.
HEAVY CIVILS & ROADS ESTIMATOR
An experienced construction civil and roads estimator with at least 10 to 15 years’ experience in this role. Extensive and proficient use of CCS is a must. Advantages would be knowledge and effective use of Microsoft Projects, previous construction experience on site in the positions of Site Agent and or Contracts Manager.
The applicant should have experience with estimating in the following sectors:
- Road and Earthworks
- Concrete Structures
- Pipelines
- Water and Wastewater Projects
- Minor Building Works
A technical qualification in Civil Engineering would be preferable but not mandatory. The applicant will be based in Durban (KZN) and within an existing estimating team.
CIVIL & ROADS CONTRACTS MANAGER
An experienced Construction Contracts Manager with at least 10 to 15 years’ experience is key to this position. Knowledge of CCS and must be proficient in Microsoft Projects. The applicant should have extensive experience in the following areas:
- Roads and Earthworks
- Heavy Concrete Structures
- Water and Wastewater Projects
- Some Pipeline experience
The applicant should be registered with SACPCMP as a Pr.CM or as a Pr.Eng and have a B-Tech or Degree in Civil Engineering. The candidate will report to the Operations Director, be based in Durban (KZN) and will be required to head up the Civils and Roads Division in terms of growth. The role would span business development, estimating in conjunction with the lead estimator, construction execution and delivery on several projects.
