MAINTENANCE MANAGER – Keypak (Pty) Ltd, a Port Elizabeth based, Printing and Packaging company is looking to employ a qualified Maintenance Manager. The ideal candidate will be constantly assessing the systems in place to ensure that they are both safe and operating efficiently. This candidate must be comfortable managing a team. This candidate should also be comfortable ensuring necessary utilities are working correctly and possess strong organizational skills in order to keep track of multiple projects at once. You will co-ordinate and facilitate Insurance inspections and requirements, ensuring these are conducted within the required timeframes, be responsible for ensuring that the legal requirements align with the Occupational Health and Safety requirements and be designated as the GMR2 for the plant.

Responsibilities:

      • Check quality standards and functionality of services and machines regularly
      • Escalate any problems early and schedule repairs in order to minimize loss to business
      • Fault finding
      • Managing a team
      • Preventative Maintenance program

Qualifications:

      • Qualified Fitter and turner/Maintenance fitter/Printers mechanic/Millwright/Engineering degree
      • Government Certificate of Competency
      • 5 years supervisory experience with heavy machinery, production lines or related fields
      • Strong critical thinking and organizational skills

Administration/Reporting:

      • Reporting on maintenance to Director,
      • Ensure critical spares stock levels are maintained
      • Planning and scheduling of resources,
      • People Management:
      • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the outputs of the team’s
      • Monitor operational activities of staff

EXPERIENCE IN THE PRINTING AND PACKAGING INDUSTRY WILL BE AN ADDED ADVANTAGE
